Every Girl Deserves To Be Heard
Helping young women recognize boundaries, find their voices, and speak up in relationships with coaches, mentors, teachers, and other adults in positions of trust.
A youth-led research and advocacy initiative of CHI Voices, A New Jersey-registered 501(C)3 nonprofit organization.
It Started With One Experience.
Every meaningful change begins with a moment. Here is how one experience grew into a bigger question- and a mission to listen.
The Passion
Years of dedication to competitive tennis.
A sport that once brought confidence, discipline, and joy.
The Experience
When boundaries became unclear.
A coaching relationship gradually began to feel controlling and emotionally difficult. Speaking up did not always feel easy.
The Question
One experience became a bigger question.
How many other girls have felt uncomfortable, pressured, or unable to speak up?
Every Voice Has a Story
Behind every experience is a voice that deserves to be heard.
Her Voice Projects collects stories from young people about trust, boundaries, discomfort, speaking up, and relationships with coaches, teachers, mentors, and other adults in positions of trust.
Your Story Matters.
You do not need to have a dramatic experience to participate. We want to hear many different perspectives- positive, difficult, uncertain, and everything in between.
All stories are confidential. Your identity is always protected.
